On Saturday Harrogate and Knaresborough More in Common held a Family Fun Day. The aim was to bring people from the different parts of our community together to build links and celebrate.
Over 100 people came to the URC on West Park to take part in a wide variety of activities including circus skills, dancing, banner making (see photo above) with music from ukeleles and the Love Pop Choir.
The event was part of ‘The Great Get Together’ which is linked to the Jo Cox Foundation. More in Common Harrogate and Knaresborough let many local businesses know about the afternoon and they responded with a wonderful number of donations of food and raffle prizes.
Communities in Harrogate and Knaresborough show, time and again, that they want to work together for positive change to build resilient towns. If you’d like to know more about the More in Common group contact: moreincommonharrogate@gmail.com – you’ll be warmly welcomed.
